Why my clients love my projects and things I choose for them

I am as an architect. Part of my job is to listen to my customers. Actually, this is highly crucial part. During those conversations I can hear what my clients want their renovated apartment to be like, what they absolutely don’t want, which things are they scared of etc.. What I have noticed during these meetings is that there are some things that are common for many my clients. A lot of them want to have very modern flats, that would look a bit different than flats of all other people. At the same time, they are very afraid to go creative. Firstly I was rather angry about this and was doing my best to fight with this type of attitude. After a while, I managed to find a solution I can offer for such customers. My solution is… wallpapers. They allow to go crazy, but at the same time- look elegant. I wanna give you some concrete examples of that.

One of my client was a manager of a popular bank. He wanted his home to be very elegant and impressive. In other words- he wanted his guest to be jealous about how great apartment he has. It is was also very important for him that his guests know that he has that amazing taste – read something more about wallpaper. He insisted to keep everything very elegant and simple. At first, he didn’t even wanted to hear about wallpapers.

Nonetheless, I managed to convinced him that this can be very good option for him. Because of this, he may show to his guests not just his elegant side, but also this more crazy one. We agreed to use stadium wallpaper in a living room. At this moment, he seems to be greatly happy with our choice. At the same time I was also renowating house of successful business woman. As we extremely liked each other, during our conversation we started to talk about our dreams, past etc.. She admitted that she loved travelling when she was a student and that she actually has visited over 40 countries.

Nowadays, she can’t travel anymore as she is too busy with her company. However she hopes that she would be able to do it when she is retired. Consequently, I suggested that we find map mural in her bathroom. As a result of this, she could wake up every day, seeing the map and all of these amazing countries which are waiting for her and that she would visit in the future.
