External walls of the houses are open to various weather conditions. Warmth and strong daylight in hot months, humidity and cold in winter – these aspects are able to induce the damages of the brickwork.
To avoid it, different rendering is applied.
Covering the wall with the small coat of appropriate material can create a protection from the surroundings. What is more, it can refresh the surface and cause that it will appear newer. Among different renders, silicone render became attractive because of the application ease and excellent properties. This material is available in a ready-to-use form. That denotes that there is no need to mix the grain with water prior to application. Producers offer various textures of this render. Thin coating of this render guarantees anti-crack character. This kind of render is water-repellent so it prevents the damp penetration into the wall and forms the self-cleaning surface. While streaming, the water will eliminate the dirt from the wall. Despite that, it is quite breathable: it does not trap moisture, thus enabling the building fabric to vaporise enough during warm ambient conditions. The other huge plus of this render is the fact that it is available in wide range of colours. It means there is no need to cover it with a paint. Moreover, the dye will be durable for years.
Best quality rendering not only ensures the good protection, but also provides the aesthetic and colourful layer on the walls outside.
The only aspect to remember is the fact that silicone render ought to be applied during the good weather, because it needs some time (a few days) to cure. The application process is not difficult and the effect is satisfactory.
